Ordered a Cuban because I know I like them and didn't really know what everything on the menu was. Wow! Maybe the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had! So big I am taking half home. It was just crunchy enough and the pork was so good. The flavors all blended well. Ordered it without mustard. Highly recommend!
Went on a Wednesday at noon. It's a little hole-in-the-wall joint in a strip mall. The servers were great at explaining menu items and giving recommendations. Husband loved the Cuban sandwich. I got the masitas with rice with red beans. We also tried the sweet plantains, but I wish we'd gotten the regular ones. Had a nice creamy cilantro dipping sauce. It was fun too try something new. They did have chicken nuggets and fries, though no kids menu. 3.5 stars rounded up.
The food was amazing and the service was on point. We had the macitas and avocados that pate was delicious. Their black beans and rice my daughter loves. We tries their chicken pastelito that had sooo much flavor. When I come back to panama city I will be going back. Super authentic.
You know you are in an authentic Cuban and Puerto Rico restaurant when English is not the first language spoken here. Don't let the modest look of the cafe fool you, the food is amazing here, especially the fried and pulled pork. We truly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back next time in town.
Ate here for 1st time last week and loved it. Great tasting pork & steamed rice. Large servings. Plan to return at least twice a week. I'm a local.
